Stephanie Goodson Obituary

Stephanie Renee Goodson made her grand entrance into the world on the cool wintery night of November 18, 1983. Born to Dag and Carolyn Goodson (Waters) in Jacksonville, FL. Stephanie’s parents would describe her as the most beautiful baby girl that they’d ever laid eyes on. “Baby Girl” as she was so affectionately called by her late father, definitely lived up to her nick name - as we all at some point found ourselves amazed by the beauty of her spirit. Stephanie lives on in our hearts as every single memory and experience with her showed us real examples how to fully love God and love people, she departed her earthly life on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Stephanie began her foundational education in the Duval County Public School System graduating from A. Philip Randolph Academies of Technology in 2002. After building a successful career in the medical field, she ultimately pursued post-secondary education - earning an Associate in Arts degree (with honors) from Florida State College at Jacksonville. With all the determination to see her dreams come true, she enrolled in the Radiology Technician program where she excelled tremendously.

Stephanie loved new adventures with family and friends, cooking, travel and in her spare time she invested time in her jewelry business. Her zest for life and love for her family and friends was unparalleled and there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for anyone, she proved it time and time again. Stephanie was a faithful member of One Church of Jacksonville.

Preceding her in death were very devoted grandparents, Johnnie and Mary Frances Goodson; grandfather, Johnny Wade; uncle, Earlrico Wade; and father, Dag A. Goodson.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving mother, Carolyn Waters; brothers, Jeremy Goodson (Alexandra) and Jason Goodson (Teresa); niece: Alyvia Goodson; nephews, Jeremy Goodson, II and Jordan Goodson; grandmother, Cynthia Wade; uncles, Elder Bruce Goodson (Vanessa), Dennis Goodson (Barbara), Johnnie Goodson, Bishop Johnny Wade (Marie) and Clarence Brannan; aunts, Joann Brown (Clifford), Charlene Harmon (Author), Melissa Wade, Juanita Wilkinson, Annette Connor (Merlin) and Kim Slade; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Stephanie is not lost from us, but rather is transitioned on to the next and best phase of her life, for she lives on with JESUS, her personal Lord and Savior. Stephanie fought a good fight, she kept the faith, she finished her race and then God said: Well, done thy good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
