Tammy Terrell Hackley was born July 30, 1970, in Columbus, Georgia to Ida R. Hall and Bernard Hall (Ella). She graduated from Spencer High School and obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Columbus State University. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church. She joined McDonalds at the age of fifteen and worked for the company for thirty plus years and joined DCC LEE in 2009. She met her soulmate Cornelius Hackley whom she’d been married to for nineteen years.
Tammy was truly the definition of a leader. Tammy was the epitome of diligence, confidence, beauty, and a kindhearted woman. Her presence lit up every room she entered. She had a love for shopping, self-care, home décor, and anything chocolate especially brownies. Her strength was unmatched. She will be remembered as an influential woman as she touched many lives.
On Monday, September 25, 2023, Tammy transitioned to her forever home surrounded by the ones she loved and that loved her. She was preceded in death by mother, Ida Hall; her sister/cousin, Rhoda Hall; and son, Kendrick Jackson.
Tammy leaves to cherish her memories, her amazing husband, Cornelius Hackley; three sons and two daughters, Jasmine Carey (Danny), Markise Graham (Kiryae), Cory Walker, Jr., Cornelius Hopkins, and Heavyn Hackley; three grandchildren whom she adored, Simone, Kairo, and Kash; five siblings, Olivia Battle (Stephen), Anthony Hall (Peaches), David Williams (Candice), Renee Loving, and Opal Blanding (Felipe); her favorite aunt, Qwendolyn Franklin; her favorite uncle, Ronald Purry; her goddaughter, Aadaya Joy; her best friend since the third grade, Gina Harris-Williams (Will); her mentor, Lesroy Osbourne; the DCC Lee Family; her McDonald’s family; the JSO Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
