Theresa “Trigger” Fay Hendley was born on July 2, 1953, in Durham, North Carolina, to Thelma Norwood Hendley and Nathaniel Hendley Sr. She was raised alongside her five siblings, four sisters and one brother sharing a close knit childhood filled with family, love, and lasting memories.
In her youth she moved with her family to Jacksonville, Florida, where she continued her education and proudly graduated from Andrew Jackson High School.
Theresa dedicated herself to joining the Army National Guard. Her time in the military reflected her strength, discipline, and deep sense of duty. After completing her service, she pursued higher education and graduated from Florida Metropolitan University in Jacksonville, Florida. She went on to provide many years of devoted service in the healthcare field, where she cared for others with compassion, patience, and kindness. In her later years, she found her greatest joy in being a loving and attentive mother and grandmother, treasuring every moment spent with her family.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Hendley Sr.; her mother, Thelma Norwood Hendley; and her sister, Dequita Hendley.
Trigger leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Terra Jaudon (James); her son, Terence Hendley; her beloved grandchildren, Kyra Jaudon and Colin Jaudon; her siblings, Barbara Hendley, Nathaniel Hendley Jr., Thelma Hendley, and Deborah Hendley (Horace); and a host of nieces and nephews, including Eric, Jonetta, Kaleem, Horace, and Demi, along with many other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
