Tommy Gartrell better known as “Lonnie” was born to the late Willie Lee Gartrell Hill on October 29, 1941 in Tignall, Georgia. He attended public school in Duval County. At a young age, his need to care his younger siblings took presence in his life. He accepted Christ at an early age and has always affectionately loved the Lord.
