Tyler Spencer Pope Sr. was born on February 23, 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida to Harry and Annie Pope. He attended local schools in Duval County graduating from Jean Ribault Senior High School. He furthered his education at Florida State College.
Tyler was baptized at an early age at St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed music and sports. He was a faithful employee of Masonite Door Fabrication Services for almost 20 years where he worked as a master forklift operator and trainer.
Affectionately known as "Big T", Tyler was a proud member of the Ribault H.S. Class of 1989 and excelled at football and wrestling. He was a dutiful father to his son, Tyler Jr. and adored also by his nephews and nieces.
Tyler leaves to mourn his passing, but, cherish his memories: his parents, Harry and Annie Pope; son, Tyler Spencer Pope, Jr; siblings, Michael Pope, Karla Champion (Michael), Eric Pope (Zandra), and Marc Pope Sr., nephews and nieces; Reginald Graham (Trisha), Jessica Graham, Danielle Pope, Tatiyanna Wesley, Te'Kayla Pope, Alyssa Pope, and Marc Pope Jr.; grand-nephew, David Graham,; aunt, Mildred Pope, special friend; Marjorie Lott; son's mother, Pamela Pope-Thomas, as well as many cousins and sorrowing friends.
