Victor Darnell McLaurin

Mr. Victor Darnell McLaurin “Curly Top’’, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21, 2021. He was born March 26, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late William and Nora McLaurin. He will always be remembered for the strength of his character and his enormous heart. His favorite saying, “When Things Get Real You Get Realer”. He was an amazing father to his daughters.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nora L. McLaurin; his father, William L. McLaurin Sr.; his brothers, William L. McLaurin, Jr. and Eddie L. McLaurin; sisters, Gladys Y. McLaurin and Belinda S. McLaurin; aunts, Inez Jordan and Helen Mitchell; grandfather, William McLaurin; and grandmother, Ruth McLaurin.

We honor him today and will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his daughters, Temaca C. McLaurin, Temiaka C. McLaurin and Tiarra S. McLaurin; grandchildren, Michael Anthony Gant, III and Kyra Rainey Buggs; sisters, Roslyn F. Nichols (Gary Sr.), Nora L. Palmer (Ronald) and Shelia D. Edmonds; brother, Raymond A. McLaurin; nieces, LaToyia Ronchell Palmer, Porscha Renee' Palmer-Williams, and Aleshia Hayes (Frank); nephews, Timothy McLaurin, Eddie McLaurin-Roundtree, Gary L. Nichols Jr. , Alonzo P. Edmonds (Rachel), Maple L. Edmonds and Antonio C. Nichols;  aunts, Carol, Sally and Sunyo; uncle, Garland; goddaughter, Chamicka Ruben; and a host of other relatives and friends.
