Wayne Windell Myers, Jr. was born to Wayne Windell Myers, Sr., and Sylvia Elaine (Jones) Haigler on May 25, 1994, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was affectionately called Baebae.
He was a very loving person. He attended Hilliard Elementary, Emma Love, Yulee Middle, and graduated from Yulee High School, Class of 2014.
Wayne loved playing basketball but most of all he loved the church and the Lord. The moment he saw a car pull up in the church parking lot, through the gate he came with his Bible. He was GMP van co-pilot on Sunday mornings. Wayne’s granddaddy the Late Rev. Willie Jones would say; “My man is going to be a preacher, even if I have to make him one.”
Wayne “Baebae” accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized by the Late Pastor Emeritus Rev. C. J. Brown.
Proceeded him in death are uncle, Jeffrey Jones; great-grandparents, Bro. Robert and Oria Jones; grandparents, Rev. William and Sis. Elva Jones, Bro. Curtis and Jessie Mae Myers; uncles, Willie, Emory, Albert and Robert Jones, Terry, and Elvis Myers.
Wayne leaves to cherish his sweet memories parents, Wayne Myers, Sr. and Sylvia Haigler; sister, Alicia Myers; niece, Alina; uncles and aunts David Jones (Alma), Belinda Green (William), Curtis Myers (Helen), Aubrey Myers (Mary), and Douglas Myers (Truvonna), Willie Jones, and Joshua Jones (Edith); godparents, Glenn and Mary Fleming; and a host of cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
Thanks to Dr. Smith, Nurse Geraldine, the George & Margaret Morris Hospice Center for Caring, and the doctors and staff of the 7th Floor of UF Jacksonville. A special thanks to Pastor Reginald Edwards, Rev. Ronnie Jackson, my family, and friends for ALL your help, prayers, and support during this most difficult time.
