Willie C. Pollard, Sr. was born on February 16, 1937 in Dawson, Georgia to R.C. Pollard and Flora Pollard. From the very beginning, he carried himself with humility and quiet strength that would become his trademark. He grew up in a big yet close knit family.
He was a hard worker who worked twenty plus years as a truck driver. He found joy in life's simple pleasures including working on people's cars and making grills for family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had a gentle and kind spirit.
Willie C. Pollard, Sr. was predeceased by his parents, R.C. Pollard and Flora Pollard; and his siblings, Catherine Pollard-Hightower, Jessie Pollard, and Robert Pollard.
Willie leaves behind a legacy of love for his children, Penelope Thomas (Harry), Stephanie Pollard, Angela "Kim" Pollard, Willie C. Pollard, Jr. (Allison deceased) and Patrice (Kate) Bullard (Charles); grandchildren, A. Marie Menelas (Kenny), Jasmine Pollard, Alyssa Pollard, Jessica Jordan (Jamie), and DeAndra Hatten; great grandchildren, HeavynOlivia Menelas, NylaMarie Menelas, RosaNicole Menelas, KennediJade Menelas, Samia Lockett and Mya Jordan; siblings, Floree Pollard, Christine Pollard, Eula Pollard, Rubye Pollard-Williams (Robert), Annie Pollard-Green and Mary Pollard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
