Mr. Willie B. Sabb was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Christopher and Bertha Cooper Sabb on May 12, 1943 in Lane, South Carolina. He completed his education in Duval County Public Schools graduating from Stanton High School class of 1960. After graduation Willie was drafted into the United States Army where he fought and served his country. He served in the Vietnam War for three years.
After his honorable discharge from the United States Army, Willie relocated to Los Angeles, California where he met and married Mrs. Helen Dillard Sabb who preceded him in death. Mr. Sabb was the owner of many businesses including, Sabb Home for Hair. Sabb’s Boutique, and Sabb’s Vape Shop. He loved sports and his favorite was Los Angeles Lakers. For his joy he really enjoyed playing golf with his brother George Sabb while he was residing in LA. Willie later relocated to back to Jacksonville, Florida with his only child.
Willie B. Sabb answered the Master’s call on Monday, May 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Sabb; parents, Christopher and Bertha Sabb; his brothers, Randolph Sabb and Roger Sabb; and his son, DJ Howell, Sr.
Willie leaves to cherish his beautiful legacy and memories, his only child, La’Shawn Thorpe (John); extended daughters, Pamela Green, and Val Gambler (Tony); grandchildren, Quinnisha Howard, Joyce Collins (Phillip), Alphonso Dawson, Jr. (Charmaine), and DJ Howell, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; extended grandchildren, Delories Randolph, and Lynnise Hairston (Anthony); great grandchildren, Isiah, Elijah, and Dayllces; extended great grandchildren, Lashuncia, Mani, Matthew, and Daniel; great great grand, Mason; brothers, George Sabb (Debbie) of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher Sabb (Bernice) and Raymond Sabb; extended brothers, Joe Hugh, Ronald Howard (Veria), Simeon Miller (Neise) all of Los Angeles, CA, and Ervin Brooks; sisters, Mary Thomas, Chinabell Dennis (Eddie), Patricia Gregg (Frank) and Gert Sabb of Los Angeles, CA; extended sister, Clarice Finch-Chase of Long Beach, CA; and host of family and friends.
