Wilma Brown Obituary

 

Mrs. Wilma Delores Henry-Brown was on born February 23, 1945 to the late Walter and Jessie Henry in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from Northwestern High School. She further her education at Edward Waters College Studying Education.

Wilma was united in Holy Matrimony to her high school sweetheart, the late Freddie L. Brown on September 3, 1966. The remained married for 51 years until his passing. Mrs. Brown worked at Morrison’s Cafeteria for many of years before discovering her life’s passion as a foster parent, providing care for over 40 years.

Wilma Delores Henry-Brown went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie L. Brown; daughter, Rosalind R. Brown; parents, Walter and Jessie Henry; and sister-in-law, Sandra Henry. 

Wilma leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children, Freddie M. Brown (Robin), Delfred N. Brown (Danielle Maddox), Alisa "Nikki" Brown (Latoya Freeman) and Racquell Becca Brown; grandchildren, Sada Brown, Freddie Brown, Joshua Brown, Aubria Brown, Amaria Brown, Andre Caldwell, Dejion Corley and Destini Cooper; great grandchildren, Andre Caldwell, Jr., Ka’Miyah Mitchell, Audrey Caldwell, Izabella Brown and I’Layia Brown; brother, Walter Henry, Jr.; four brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many sorrowing friends.
