Zaire Na’im Young affectionately known as “Zai” gained his heavenly wings surrounded by love, on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the age of 24. He was a beautiful soul who carried light, laughter and kindness wherever he went.
Zai was educated in the Nassau and Duval County Schools district and graduated from Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Zai had a deep love for music and arts-he found peace in drawing and joy in every melody. He especially loved the artist Mali Music, whose songs inspired him and spoke to his heart. His creativity shined through everything that he did. Known for his humor, unique charm and a smile that could brighten any room, he had a warmth that touched many lives.
Zaire received Joy from little things such as cheese, hot dogs, chess games and his you-tube channel. His name alone “Cheezy Zai” showed his fun-loving heart and his ability to make anyone smile. His heart was big, but it beat loudest for his mother. Their bond was one of deep affections, quiet understanding, and constant love. He held her close in every chapter of his life and she will carry that love with her always.
Zaire has been reunited with his best friend and grandma, Catherine Wiley. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Crystal Wiley; his sister, Zakiya Young; his grandfather, Nathaniel Wiley; his uncle, Robert Wiley (Mira); his aunt, Summa Wiley; and a host of extended family and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Zaire’s presence was a gift and one that will continue to live on through the love he shared and laughter he inspired.
