Dwayne Jones

Dwayne “Chuck” Jones was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Marleen Jones; and his brother, Kenneth Jones.

Chuck was born in Buffalo, New York in 1956 but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He was educated in the Duval County School System and graduated from Paxon Senior High School. After high school, he attended welding school and worked for many years at the Jacksonville Shipyard. In his latter years, he worked in the transportation industry as a driver.

Chuck is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Henry Melvin Jones and Reginald Dixon; sister, Lisa Tate; long-time devoted friend, Vontricia D. Johnson; uncles, Walter Jones and Richard Jones; aunt, Blanche Jones; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Chuck enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball, as well as watching movies, old television series and reading books.
