Pearlie Mae Green Lee

April 6, 1949 ~ April 14, 2018 (age 69) 69 Years Old

The wonderful life of Pearlie Mae Green began on April 6, 1949, as the eleventh child born to Osie and Daisy Session Green in Swainsboro, Georgia.

In 1954, the family moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida and joined St. Andrew AME Church. They became an involved family in the life of the church. Pearlie attended Jacksonville Beach Elementary School #144 and graduated from Douglas Anderson Jr.-Sr. High School, class of 1967.

Her work ethics were superior, she was known for her excellent culinary skills. For over 30 years, she worked and became supervisor of the Dietary Department at Beaches (Now Beaches Baptist) Hospital.

Her love of family and the love of her life was her marriage to John E. Lee, Jr. (U.S.N. Ret) and the blessing of four children, Angela, John, III (Pee Wee), Christopher and Mary Michelle, to this union.

Pearlie loved to dance, watch classic movies and old television shows, family gatherings and served diligently on the Culinary Committee at the church and on the usher board under the leadership of Sister Blanche Brown and Ethel Dawson.

God in His infinite wisdom and having raised her from her sick bed after her surgery on February 3, 2016, called her home on April 14, 2018. She and her family celebrated her 69th birthday from April 6-12, 2018 with much love and God’s blessings.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Frank Sessions, Laura Green, Emma Green, Daisy Anderson, Freddie Green, Marvin Green and Rosie Mae Green; and daughter, Mary Michelle Lee.
