Gwendolyn Yvonne Malone

June 30, 1947 ~ December 12, 2017 (age 70) 70 Years Old

Gwendolyn Yvonne Watson was born on June 30, 1947, to the late James and Keturah B. (Hamilton) Watson in Jacksonville, Florida.  She graduated from Matthew W. Gilbert High School (1965), and attended Florida A & M University for one year.

 Yvonne married Patrick W. Malone, March 8, 1986.  Together, they have 5 children, 12 grand-children, and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.  After a short battle with cancer, Yvonne peacefully passed away at 2:38 p.m. on December 12, 2017, in Middleburg, Florida.  She was surrounded by her loving husband, Patrick, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Yvonne was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in June of 1989, and served faithfully until her demise.  She was preceded in death by her father, James Watson, and mother Keturah B. (Hamilton) Watson.  

She retired from Sears Roebuck & Company, and Beaufort Travel Agency.  

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Patrick; four daughters, Gabrielle Reynolds (Darien) of Jacksonville, FL, K. Yvette Baker, of Middleburg, FL, Miriam E. Collier of Jacksonville, FL, and Koffey R. Jackson (Melvin) of Jacksonville, FL; one son, Julius Baker (Diane) of Jacksonville, FL; One sister, Veronica G. Gammon of Jacksonville, FL,; three brothers, Clayton Hamilton (Mary) of Brandon, FL, James A. Watson (Renea), of Jacksonville, FL, and Rodney Watson of Jacksonville, FL.; one brother-in-law Johnny Malone (Jackie) of Kokomo Indiana,; and two sisters-in-law, Veronica Cannon (Delmar) of Kokomo, Indiana, and Rhomalda Malone of Kokomo Indiana; and her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Her passing also brings deep sorrow to many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
