Phyllis Wilbert

Ms. Phyllis Wilbert (56) passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018. She was born to James and Corine Wilbert.

Known as “Ducky” born on August 13, 1962, she attended Nassau County Public Schools graduating in 1980 from West Nassau High School. She went on to attend Florida Junior College in Jacksonville. Phyllis was employed with Publix Supermarkets until her failing health caused her to retire.

She was a steadfast and faithful member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church where the Reverend Marva T. Mitchell is the pastor.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Corine Wilbert; and her adoring older brothers, Walter Cooper, Sr., Arthur James “Jr.” Wilbert and Leroy Wilbert.

Ducky leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Essence McKnight (Jay) and Selena Rice (Mike); granddaughter, Shamiah Humphries; grandsons, Jake McKnight and Tyler McKnight; sisters, Annette Wilbert (Steve) and Brenda Wilbert; nieces, Victoria Blue, Lisa Bryant, Keva Cooper, Teri Cooper, El'bonee Foster and Candis Wilbert; nephew, Walter Cooper; sisters-in-law, Joanne Cooper and Dorothy Wilbert Hanks; best friends, Vicky Woods, Valerie Brown, Lula Mae Williams and Betty Williams; devoted friends, Randy Boatwright, Craig Mason and Kevin Walker; godfather, Ivory Melton, Sr.; godbrother, Ivory Melton, Jr.; loving and devoted cousin, Gail Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
